Thoughtful Kajira

Every once in a while you stumble across a blog that is neither good, bad nor tragic, but strange. Really strange. Now the net is full of these, but this one is interesting. Written by a law student in college it journals her progress in Second Life Gor. Don’t groan all those people can’t be wrong. She goes back, after an absence, determined to stay out of the politics and intrigue. Of course she fails miserably, but that is not what makes this interesting. What makes this interesting is that it becomes the chronicles of someone whose real life and SL start to blur in a rather disturbing fashion.

As stated in the beginning she goes back with good intentions and blogs about her interactions with the Masters and slaves, often giving keen insight into the goings on. A veteran role-player, she states” I’ll never be anyone’s slave in real life, and I think most would agree that would be a waste of who I am” and then warmly embraces the life of a slave in, if not all, a very large chunk of her spare time. We are taken on sightseeing trips with her and her master. Follow them as they build a life together and are Included in her joy as she is registered on TSR. We are embroiled in politics, intrigue and the game playing of others. All of this is interspersed with tales of her RL dog, family and friends as they slowly bleed into her SL blog.

It is a riveting read that is often thought provoking, but the reader is left to wonder where one life ends and the other begins. Maybe that is the attraction of having a SL.

So ratings on the meter 0/5 for all, but can we start a new category for strange because this would get a 5/5
